Mostly good. My kids wondered when the elevator would arrive. (The music was very bland). Decent plain food. Friendly accommodating staff.
Slightly tired interior, but ok.
Bottled Peroni is the only beer on the menu! -

Not happy! We were recommended the Brasserie by a friend and we managed to get a 50% discount, but the experiende wasnt good at all. As soon as we arrived and i mentioned the 50% deal, you could actually see tha attitude of the waiter change. We were sat right by the door with a terrible draft when ever it was opened. When we got the menus, we were rushed by the waiter to make a choice of drinks. I had to ask him to come back in a bit 3 times as we hadn't decided and it was only about a minute between each time he came to the table.
We ordered lobster bisque and seafood chowder to start, followed by lobster thermidor and seabass fillets as a main. The food itself was very well presented and was extremely tasty. However the way we were treated by the waiter was horrendous. I have never been rushed to order and eat a meal as much as in here. By the time they offered us the dessert menu and then gave it to us 10 minutes later whilst we were sat there twiddling our thumbs with no drinks, we decided enough was enough and asked for the bill, skipping dessert.
They very clearly dont like it if you have a deal or a voucher, but if this is how they treat you they shouldn't offer the deal in the first place. The deal was for 50% off the food, what they failed to mention, was that they also discounted the service they gave you by 50%.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, but would advise anyone to try Fishy Fishy in the town center, where they really look after their customers and the food is great as well. -

A seafood restaurant in a marina should be great, right?
Unfortunately, this was not the case for our meal last night. Seven of us came to celebrate my step-brother's 14th birthday. We had a table inside next to the bar which was nice enough, and there is some fantastic seating out the front if the weather is good and there is a smaller group of you.
The menus were tatty and a bit generic looking. There was a huge choice which instantly got me worried as sometimes I think it is better for restaurants to do a few dishes well, rather than try to do everything moderately.
We ordered some bread to start, drinks and then our food, ordering a selection of different dishes across the table. The bread was fairly standard but unfortunately the oil was definitely not olive and was instead pale, flavourless and insipid. The olives that accompanied it, however, were tasty.
We then waited for our starters...and waited...and waited. After 45 minutes we chased them up and they eventually arrived approximately 1 hour after we had ordered. I understand that they were short staffed but this kind of wait is not acceptable. I had ordered the chicken liver pate which was average. My brother ordered the lobster bisque which was described as fish chowder when it was placed on the table - a bit of an undersell here! The waitress then proceeded to offer us black pepper before we had even had chance to taste the food - a mistrust in the chef's ability to season the dishes maybe?!
The wait wasn't too bad for the mains. My whole sea bass was ok, if a little overcooked. My boyfriends scampi in Provencal sauce was again insipid and the rice it was served with had been cooked to a mush. However, this was nothing compared to my Dad's lobster thermador. He managed to identify two mouthfuls of lobster but the rest had been filled up with tomato! We obviously pointed this out to the waiter who told him to eat it and he would bring him another one afterwards!! The second was better but unfortunately his cutlery was taken with the first dish and not replaced so he had to pinch some utensils from others. For a £20 dish this is totally unacceptable.
We didn't stay for puddings but they did bring the birthday boy a slice of cake with a sparkler in so we could appropriately embarrass him, the way only teenagers can be!
The meal with drinks was approximately £35 per head. However, the standard of the food and level of service in no way justified this price and I will not be going back. -

We decided to come here for my mums 70th birthday dinner there were 11 of us it was recommended by my brother and his wife . We weren't disappointed the food was lovely . My mum had the scallops in garlic sauce for starters and the skate with capers which she thoroughly enjoyed . Me and my brother had the ribeye steak with mushrooms and chips it was a bit bloody but I suppose It was my thought for asking for medium lol enough chips to feed a small army one of others had the lobster which he thoroughly enjoyed too . The rest had fish and chips the staff were really pleasant and helpful I would highly recommend it a really pleasant dining experience 10/10

We have eaten here twice. Lovely view over the Marina. Plenty of space to al frescothe food was brilliant on both occasions. The service was excellent, but the staff might perhaps smile and LOOK as if they enjoy serving you.
Word of warningif you Groupon here: (a) Book table first, (b) show your voucher on arrival. (c0 don't give your voucher up until bill arrives.
Service charge applied
Otherwise not bad!
